Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

RE: Marantz Model 7 -Is this worth the price?

As many have already posted, they routinely go higher on ebay, and this one is likely to go higher as well.

Noting that this unit is still sporting the shorting caps and level adjust caps on the back, the lettering on the face looks good, and the tube shields are all present, it shows external signs of being complete and in good condition; though not necessarily original.

I've bought and sold many of these over the years. Depending on the selling price, one can possibly buy one and enjoy it a while, and then recoup the investment or perhaps even realize a gain on resale.

I like the sound of them; subjective and personal, of course, though they are reasonably well-regarded. I also have always loved the style of Marantz gear of this vintage - classic and timeless.
