Many consider the original Marantz 7 the Holy Grail of all preamps. If you give Ebay a look they go for about $5000. If I had my druthers I would have the 7c preamp the 9 mono amps and of course the coveted 10 tuner with a pair of KLH 9 ESL'S sitting in my listening room. So yes that opening bid is in the ball park.
