May be junk or decent. I have seen some poorly built stuff that actually sounded decent. At 10-12 watts is sufficient to push many speakers. Big question is whether the phono is high or low level. If high level then another input for a dvd, cd, etc.
I would keep it for a couple of reasons. It can make a good test amp for the bench or, maybe a decent enough build under the hood that it might make for a good project. Maybe a half dozen caps, a few diodes, a couple of resistors and maybe lower distortion and noise levels.
I remember the Readers Digest amps and tuners. Never saw one that looked this good, though. In fact the tuners were quite enjoyable with local stations. The amps were what I would class as a chip amp today. If nothing else, dump it on the computer line output and throw in a pair of Minimus 7s.
