Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

Very nice again. Please tell me/us more about those speakers.

I have a pair of blown SP15s Ive always wondered about... Always thought of how they would do for a nice 2 or 3 way system kinda like what youve done.

High sens and clearly a driver meant for tubes. No way one would want a 100 watt SS amp opening up on em. Id need to recone mine and wonder how they would hold up to the specs of their originals.

How is the bass response in your opinion? What did you do for a crossover?

That VOM amp is IMO one of the greatest looking vintage tube amps one could ask for. Just scream 50s-early 60s retro to the max. Never got a chance to hear one in person but it clearly has a following. On this notion Im going to send you an email...

If you have pics of Don's work on the underside Im sure I and folks here would love to see the job done.

Still looking for a good tube guy within reasonable driving distance of me for work like that. Have a guy now but he is rather slow...

Wonderful inspiring setup!
