Not only can you find out for yourself, you can use it to find "vampire appliances", measure line voltage (and fluctuations thereof), determine power factor... all kinds of cool & handy stuff.
Inexpensive & very, very handy!
Available from tons of suppliers, of the on line or the B&M kind..
