RE: the truth

The "experts" are wrong. They are overlooking the fact that P2P wired tube equipment from the "Golden Age" was designed and built to be maintained. Mass market SS equipment is designed to fail comparatively quickly and is NOT maintainable. The throw away mentality strikes, 1 more time.

Yes, "classic" tubed equipment requires periodic looking after, but given proper attention there's every reason to believe that (sic) centuries of service will be delivered.

BTW, superior SS equipment, for instance Bryston, requires periodic recapping too. Electrolytic capacitors literally dry out over time.
