Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

I'm saving this incredibly generous post.

And would like to follow up with you offline. Thanks to both you, Michael and everyone else for offering this insight. I would like some books recommended to me, if you still feel inclined to do so. I think the time is right for me to take up the learning that I should have got going years ago.

If I read you (and Michael Samra) correctly the Hunts capacitors would seem to be the least of my concerns at the moment, presuming they are not wildly out of spec. If so, I would likely see them maintained. That said, I'm not at all averse to modern parts being used sympathetically.

(BTW, your AA settings preclude me sending you an email. Perhaps you can email me at jsbkiwi@gmail.com).
