Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

agree overall too

Im really only particular about ferrite over alnico on my woofers. They often offer greater power handling and performance in the nutshell.

For mids and tweeters Ive heard great results with both. I really wouldnt care so long as the driver did what I was after. I could easily live with either.

Its really hard for me to pick a side on aluminum or Ti for domes or diaphragms. Again heard great with both on domes. With the right driver its fine either way. Really IN A NUTSHELL when Im picking a driver to do upper mid into tweeter use on a setup. Ti tends to do such work easier IMO. Aluminum can sound fine. Just often it rolls off a little too soon overall. Every time I listen to my JBL 4430s Im reminded of this :) But I still love em.
