The convenience of having ALL of your CDs, high resolution downloads and MP3s in a computer is fantastic. I use Squeezebox Touch players to access the server. I went the mechanical direction once with a 301 disc Pioneer PD-F27. Couldn't store all my CDs anyway.
You have instant access to any track without going through the mechanical dance every time, is controllable by your phone/pad and is accessible by multiple systems.
Burn it once. Never have to handle it again.
