The only "stability" issue of I know of with the 4PL1 tube is it is prone to micro-phonics. Think tube dampers or resilient mounting. It also requires a clean power supply. Bottlehead's kit should address both. Go visit their forum and ask your questions.

This is in a totally different league than anything built on the PAS.
