these are all good suggestions for a quick and dirty cleaning..

however, I find opening the pots up, cleaning with IPA on a qtip and a topical application of D5 (deoxit) on the contacts and carbon track to give excellent results, you may also need to add some fader grease when the pots have that in it (of course you removed the grease when you cleaned the pot when open with the IPA qtip because it was dirty...) to retain the smooth "feel" the pots have...
