very good mid-70s receiver

Internet lore holds it is one of the very few soiled state components that will sound good when paired with "heritage" Klipsch loudspeakers (e.g., the Heresys, Cornwalls, etc.).

The keen-eyed will note that the tt in the catalog ad above is not a GA-212, although it is a Philips tt. :-) I will add that the Polk Monitor 7 family and the hk430 are a very nice combination.
