Well now, lot's of deep, miles deep nostalgia being posted here, along with profound thanks for discovering yet another vein of it. Lost in the memory of the halcyon days of [misspent] youth...
But wait. Right there, in the very first issue...what do we see? Right there, on page 13. Why, is it a clear-eyed, cynical yet fair evaluation of the state of the sound of the day and its equipment.
The article is titled "You can have fun spending half your income on high-fidelity phonograph and radio reproduction".
Quoting:
