I know there was a time when Sovtek made a 7199 equivalent (sort of!), but now there is none. It seems like this would be a popular tube to remake for the vintage audiophile community. Is the reason no one has stepped up to the plate is that it wasn't a popular tube for guitar amps? I know that the modern tube manufacturers cater to the guitar amp crowd, and we are more of a side-benefit, but I know almost nothing about the tubes used it guitar amps. Anyone have insight on this? I am just curious.
