I don't think this is the problem. But Yammies had a nasty problem with tracings coming off of the circuit boards. I would imagine the original engineers did not anticipate them being around this long. They were shooting for land fill material in a few years.

But get it working and DO consider having it restored. That was one of my favorites from that era. I really regret letting my Yamahas go. Another foolish mistake in a long line of audio mistakes.
