Parts of the Chassis Actually Conduct Current

There's a phone jack in the back for an entension speaker. We used to have that extension speaker. It had a 1 inch hole at the top with a metal sleeve, by which it was meant to be carried.

If you touched that metal sleeve when the thing was plugged in, you got an electrical shock. Which, of course, improved the sound. Of course.
