RE: Receiver and speakers to complement Thorens td 160?

For quality, sound and a very fair price. I agree with Van Alstine. The db System preamp and power amp regardless of configuration are almost bargain basement deals for totl units. Not marketed, not magical new trends, just sold circuits that have been continuously been improved over some 4 years. It and Sherwoods early history are the only 2 companies where engineering was truly #1.

If I were younger and in the buying mode these are the 2 companies that would be on the top of my lost of candidates.
