slide or rocker switches?

looking to replace the slide switches on my Scott 299A (and Fisher KX-200 as well as any other vintage amps I may yet get to...) and was wondering what the best switch to use for replacement from others experience, whether to use a slide switch or use a rocker type. And, if you have any recommendations for these replacement switches please do, I see that Grayhill has slide switches that are gold over nickle so they may be a good choice. Thanks
