Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

RE: Anybody using gear 30+ years old that hasn't been restored?

It's a Sansui AU-517. The seller claimed that it was "unmolested" and in a "time warp condition".

I haven't opened it (and have no urge to do it) but it really makes me feel happy.

I don't say that Cary sounds bad (actually, it sounds nice with proper cables and speakers), but when I am listening to Sansui I feel that it sounds like vacuum tube gear while the rest of my amps sound more like SS units (irrespective of whether I use vinatge or modern tubes, though vintage do sound better).
