Oh there is no comparison..The mc60s even running EL34s which runs them a bit cold unless you change a bias resistor has more character and more detail and more depth than the 8B does..I have a pair of nines that I left original and they were given to me by an old audio mentor that bought them new in 1963 but they never impressed me..I've owned them since 1992 and I just left them alone because there isn't much room but I will recap them..
This is the way you do vintage gear as I did the Mc60s because this way I can put it back to factory stock without damage.
