I don't use vintage tube pieces that haven't been restored. But I use plenty of 70's and 80's solid state gear. For example I have been regularly using a Marantz 2220B that I have done nothing to except clean the controls and replace bulbs. A Yamaha CR-400 as well. I don't really trust old CD players so I mostly use newer DVD players to play silver discs. LP's I play on older turntables. And most of my speakers are old. While older AR speakers usually need some attention, I have never felt the need to recap any ADS speakers from the late 70's/early 80's. And my circa 1958 RCA SL-12's don't require anything other than dusting.
