I was using a 40 year old Sony STR7045 receiver until I sold it on ebay a few weeks ago. It was still in great condition. I still have 40 year old Sansui receiver, which I retired from the bedroom system last week because the tuner was starting to drift. I use a 36 year old Kenwood receiver in my home office which is in excellent condition. My wife uses a 30 year old NAD amp in her home piano studio.
