RE: Sherwood S5000 question...

I'm not sure I understand the question exactly as phrased, but I think I can answer. There are three filament sources on this amp. One is a filtered DC supply derived from the bias supply circuit. The other is a common 6V AC supply. The last is the rectifier filament winding. The two phono stage preamp tubes are powered with the DC supply, and all of the other tubes except the rectifier share the 6VAC filament winding from the power transformer.
