I'm asking this for an equipment-challenged friend...
He has a Realistic quad amplifier QA-621 (cat 31-4012) from 1974 rated at 25 watts. This is solid-state, of course, and basically bottom of the line. Outputs are rated for 8 ohm speakers. He wants to know if it is OK to hook some 3.2 ohm Tandberg speakers to this amp. I had not thought about this before and maybe never came across a 3.2 ohm speaker except for small radio speakers. The Tandberg speakers, which are really pretty nice looking, have a notation of Z400=3.2 ohm on the sticker.
So what say ye? Is it OK or not? Your help is appreciated.
John
