RE: I had a choice from ARC back in 1976

After getting my SP3a1 I replaced the face with the optional black as it was still available and dumped the cheesy knobs relaxing them with those from early Marantz. Did nothing for the sound but made the unit look like it was worth the then list price. Johnson did not have much of an eye for the visual arts.
