Saul B Legendary Marantz

New to the forms. Just thought I would start out with something I love. "Marantz"
Attention: No Marantz's were hurt in this transformation. All original parts still exist.

Though I would do something a little different. Of course I love the European look, so I had to make the 19 in European Style and I did also make it in a silver, with and without the uper lettering and "serial#"
I started out with An original faceplate. Had it laser measured for accuracy. Had mostly hand drawn artwork. Then plates were laser cut out of one sheet of aluminum. Then cleaned and brushed nod either black anodized or clear anodized was applied. Black plates got laser etching for the printing. Silver plates got two prt baked on black Apoxy. Sounds measly enough, but was quite complicated. But all in all. We'll worth it.
I do all of to for my personal collection then sell off the left overs to try to help others out or that may just want to change it up.
With the 19 I added just a little bit. The blank space up top that usually has model and logo up top "on other models" I decided to put "Saul B" and " Legendary" and my "Serial #" to fill it in.
This faceplate posted a few more challenges than the others " I already have made these models 2230/2245/2270/2275/2325/4400 " I also chose not to screen print this one, but instead I did "Laser Etching" so no screen print (Will never wear off). Once again, Marantz did not chosse to use any standard fonts which most seem to think they did, but they changed things just a little bit in order to make things difficult (Alot of hand drawn art work).

The custom calibrate badge is aluminum with what looks like a standard beveled edge, yet it was just off enough where I had to have a special cutter made to replicate that beveled edge.

More pictures with the silver plate soon to come this week.

All in all, I always love the Euorpean look, so once again here is my newest creation. Thanks.

P.S. One day I must buy a real camera instead of using my iPhone.
