RE: flea mkt 6L6gc army amplifier find

I had one similar to that! As I remember it sounding OK but had a restricted frequency response (about 60-8,000) because they were usually used with PA horns like in Mash. I also had a couple of Air force se 6BQ5 SE amps that were used with Mikes and reflector dishes for aircraft detection. They sounded great after I built an RIAA Phono section.
