Some of the best recordings I have are mono ..... and I have never been too impressed with RCA Living Stereo, even though I still own a bunch. Give me a good Capital mono recording from late 50's and I am a happy man.
Some of the modern direct to disc stereo recordings are pretty good though, so I guess I would have to extend that out to stereo gear before all the SS started showing up. Where would that get us too, mid to late 60"s?
