Goodmans Trebax with built-in X-over?

Hi all,
can anyone provide some direction on how to correctly connect a Goodmans Trebax 35L (built in x-over?) to a Goodmans Axiom 201 in a 2-way system?
The Trebax has 3 wires coming off it, which I believe went to an attenuator dial (which I don't have).
The 201s were connected to the Trebax, with a second set of 2 wires also off the Trebax, I assume going to the amp.
Do I assume that the Trebax can only work with the attenuator?
Or is there a way to connect the 201 and TRebax (safely) without an attenuator?
Also, does anyone have any schematics for the built in x-over on the Trebax 35L? There seems to be almost nothing on the web which is unusual.
I've also posted over in Speaker forum.
Thanks, Hodgie.
