The Beats are aimed at young people that like bloated bass. I cant stand them, personally. I still love the Koss Pro4 series. Heavy, and make your ears sweat, but good sound. My favorite headphones ever were the Koss ESP9's, an electrostatic. I had a pair (with the energizer) back around 1970 when I was in the Navy. Alas, they were stolen, but damn they sounded good.
