Sadly, like so many of the great old names, Nakamichi is now just a brand.
Wikipedia says, "In 1998, it was acquired by the Grande Holdings, a Chinese company based in Hong Kong."
It's not your Koss Pro-4A, but the Pro-4AA is still being manufactured. The ear cushions aren't fluid filled anymore, but other than that, they sound as good (and weigh as much :-) as they ever did.
