RE: What were your big leaps in audio

In chronological order

1.) 1980. Trading my $750 85 watt Yamaha receiver for a $350 20 watt NAD 7020 receiver. Amazing how much better the NAD sounded.

2.) 1988. Buying a Rega Planar 3.

3.) 1992. Buying a $1350 Exposure XV 35 watt integrated amp over high powered Adcom or Parasound seperates. Probably the best decision I ever made.

4.) 1996. Replacing a Sota Sapphire that replaced a Rega Planar 3 with another Rega Planar 3.

5.) 2000. Spendor SP-100s.

6.) 2010-current. Digitizing my music collect.
