RE: Tubes rule!

Yeah, the best thing about a good old tube amp is that it is made to be fixed (most of them). So if taken care of they last forever. Also that you can change the sound of gear by 10-20% by just swapping tubes, and if you really want to play you can change coupling caps. So you can voice gear to sound as you want it to. Face it, all amps and preamps are voiced one way or another, whether tube or SS. It is just easier to change with tube gear. I like the Citation I/II combo because it is the least colored of any gear I have heard. That of course, doesn't make me right, just my ears and my opinion. I think tube gear is for those who really want to be involved and play with the stereo! We are tinkerers by nature....
