RE: Pro dj versus vintage

Any "pro" DJ speakers will have a sensitivity up around 98 dB/watt. Typical home speakers are under 90 dB. So your 60 watt Sansui should be fine for pretty high volumes in a moderate sized space. I can recall E-Stat using his stacked New Advents (around 87-88 dB sensitivity) outdoors for a neighborhood party. He had a big amp; but your combination has the equivalent of 600 watts with his speakers. With a 60 W amp professional speakers should be bullet proof, although you do need to check if yur amp can handle the impedance of the speakers you rent, as many "pro" speakers have 4 ohm impedance.
