and the Fisher 100s or 80AZ which are the same amps,are some of the best sounding power amps ever made.The 55a is a triode connected amp running in class A for about the first 23 watts in class A and then peaks into AB2 around 62 watts running KT90s..It's runs almost 500v on the plate.
