You've got some real danger of shorting there. Possibly it's shorting that caused current overdraw, over-heating, and oxidation of cable insulation. Those filament wires look bad (high resistance). Have you measured filament voltages? Tube socket contacts could be annealed and oxidized as well. If you clean (deoxit and tube pins) and tighten them, they 'should' be fine. If some previous owner put 6BQ5s in and they redplated, the overheating looks like it fried surrounding wires. It may not be dire (as we only have the one pic - you can inspect the whole chassis) but the unit will perform much better after wire replacement.
