RE: Power Conditioning For Vintage Amp

If your AC service is noisy an AC power conditioner may be helpful, or not.
Before you buy an expensive conditioner try turning off computers TV's light dimmers anything that may add noise.
Listen carefully to your vintage amp then unplug it rotate the AC plug 180 degrees to see if that makes a difference.
What kind of power cord has your amp now? Is it in good conditon?
Could it be the old amp needs a rebuild and the noise you hear is coming from the amplifier?
I may be wrong but I think an AC conditioner has more effect on your CD player than an amplifier.
I owned a PS Audio P300 for many years and found it to remove some grain and quiet noise from my AC service. It was a good value I thought.
I was able to use a Shunyata Research Hydra something or the other for awhile it was an effective worthwhile upgrade but too expensive for my budget.
I moved about eight years ago and found I no longer needed a power conditioner.
