A mix of old and new....




Picture of my restored Fisher 400, in situ on the lower shelf of an IKEA Lack media console table, in use at our summer house. The serial number indicates that the 400 was made within a few months of my birth. Lovely sound.

Speakers are AR92, that were refoamed and still have the original felt baffles around the midrange and tweeter domes. I initially thought that the 400 would not have enough power to adequately drive these 4ohm speakers, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a good match. Before the 400 I used a NAD 7040 receiver that just did not sound quite right with these. The 400 sings !
