Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

I'm not aware of formal rules...

especially for speakers. The speakers I listen to daily are Acoustat 1+1s, Bozak LS-200s, and the Radio Shack Optimus Pro-LX5 mini-monitors with the Linaeum tweeters. I'm not sure any of these would be considered vintage by a purist. All seem to have been designed for use with solid state amplifiers.

So, welcome! Do not feel stressed by your speaker preferences. I suppose some people would define vintage an anything likely to be found in a thrift store rather than at a big box electronics store.

Personally I think of vintage audio as "good sound at a reasonable price" audio rather than any particular age.
