I personally like the sound of those old JBLs. Who cares if they aren't "audiophile approved"? Unfortunately, I couldn't spirit them away from the owner who loaned them to me for mixing. I think I would have gladly bought 'em, had I the coin at the time!
Oh well. It was a good bit of fun nostalgia...
