RE: My first Bose experience, 501's

If the original woofers are salvageable, this speaker will fetch a lot more money with a stock rebuild. I have seen them go in the $200 range. There are a lot of people out there who believe that Bose speakers are the best out there. I would argue that, but Bose is certainly one of the best marketers out there. Also, I think those nice alnico Zenith 10" woofers could be put to better use, too.

Are they the 16 ohm woofers from Allegros? That wasn't a bad design. I would like to try 4 of them in an MTM arrangement with a compression driver/horn like an Eminence or Peavey.
