Decades(4?) ago I compared double Advents stacked vertically against a set of IMF Studio speakers for a friend looking for speakers and I recall that day quite well. I preferred the IMFs. Then I got the idea to compare double Advents to single Advents since we started with doubles. And I preferred the singles primarily because the focus and physical presence of the sound was superior. The doubles were more vague with less clear uppers probably because of the interference affects of the double tweeters. Of course, the doubles will play louder and be more dynamic at high levels but I want clarity and transparency and singles rule.
