Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

I had the same set up back in 1964, and my father built the cabinet

according to plans from JBL. I started out with just the D-130s in an acoustic suspension cabinet for my guitqr playing days. When I was 24, I purchased the 075 horns and 2400 crossovers. In addition, I cut a rectangular reflex hole. My first reccord was Santana's Abraxas, and I was totally blown away by hearing the high frequencies for the first time.

Eventually, I grew tired of the lack of midrange frequencies compared to speakers that my friends posessed, and I removed the components and sold them on the old Audiomart publication. The buyer told me that the D130 cones were slightly ripped, so I only received the freight charges for the two D130s, the two 075 horns, and the two 2400 crossovers. Boy, was I dumb in the 70s. I've always wondered what that buyer made after replacing the cones. If I had any audio experience, I probably could have figured out how to improve the midrange as well.
