The Wolverine series was the second step up in EV drivers. The entry level was the Michigan series. They looked almost identical, both with cast frames and alnico magnets (in the earlier versions). I picked up a pair of the Michigan 12" woofers new about 1970. I paid a whopping $22.00 each. I still have them, and they are still in almost perfect shape.
