Mike,

You mentioned the Dave Gillespie mods below in the thread about the EICO integrateds. I read his mod for the HF-60 to use KT-88s and was impressed especially with the changes to the 6SN7 driver. I wonder though whether the extra drive capability would make any real difference with less demanding outputs such as EL34/KT77 or 6L6. What do you think?

Also, I wonder whether it would be better to have a CCS in the leg of the LTP. If the CCS is attached to a negative supply, wouldn't that give us the best of both worlds---exact balance plus the same drive capability?
