Hello out there, my first stereo system was comprised of a Fisher 500TX receiver, Dual TT, Sony R-R and Fisher X-7B speakers. I bought it all new in 1972 in Flint, Mi. at a place called "Radio Tube". Back then some of my friends bought H-K etc but said they liked my set up the best. I'm soliciting opinions on the 800T and 500TX as they are basically identical inside. Lately either of these receivers are bringing from $500 to $1000 on the bay. Overpriced? I know looks have a lot to do with appeal but my memory tells me they sounded fantastic in the day. Opinions?
