Help needed on getting a cd player to work with a timer...

Want to use my Pioneer timer to use my bdrm system as an alarm clock for me and want to use the cd player but can't figure out how to do it., Unlike the cd player in my car which stays at the same point on the disc when power is shut off the home cd players don't seem to have this feature or at least JVC and Denon and Magnavox doesn't as those are the ones I have here at home that I have tried. Anyone have any thoughts about any home cd player that will do that?

I do have a spare Sony car cd player that I COULD use if I got an inverter but really don't want to go that route.
