First, if you're going for the vintage look go all the way and do a receiver. Looks great and you really don't have to use the tuner (just looks cool sitting there!)

Start pricing the Harmon Kardons mentioned above. As well as the lower powered Marantz receivers like 2216b,2226b,2230 etc.. Early pioneers like the SX 727, or was it the 726?. I found that the lower powered receivers sounded better anyway.

The beauty of vintage is you can get a setup together for about $450 DOLLARS (Ahh - I had to stick that in there!)

I don't know what the selling prices are over there but look around and post some of your finds.
