Many of us "lurk" on the bay. You can watch 200 items on your My Ebay pages. So, you can see the results; plus, if you write them down, or commit to memory, you can realize the prices are not coming down on many items. Remember that you cannot see where the buyer is from anymore; sadly. While we are bidding against the world, the world is buying.
Despite the worldwide recession, there will always be rich pockets out there. Also, there are collectors that simply are willing to spend whatever is necessary to win their desired items. USA buyers are not usually paying what some of the worldwide buyers are willing to part with. Stateside, we are not valuing music as much as many other countries. Lastly, while we are watching certain items, so are the buyers around the world. The savvy collectors are aware of the trends and which "sleepers" of items are "waking up"...
