JVC A-X5 Super-A

What a nice sounding unit. Just picked-up one of these integrated amps.
I think the Super-A really works here. It's much better sounding than the NAD 3020 or HK 430/730's that I've tried. Very open, not dark, smooth with a lot of drive. Good phono section with MC/MM inputs. A touch bright on my Altec horns. I'd bet this amp would livin-up some mellow speakers nicely. They are pretty cheap on ebay. While it can't replace my Fisher/fi-X set-up it does not embarrass it. Good quality caps and resistors on board too. Just ordered up a bunch of replacement lytic caps.
